SUMMARY:Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Course: Metalization Based Therapy: Technique Dysregulated Patients
DESCRIPTION:Instructor: Ana Eriksen\, M.D. \nThis class introduces students to Mentalization Based Therapy (MBT) as a structured clinical approach for working with emotionally dysregulated patients presenting with borderline and narcissistic symptoms. Drawing on training through the Anna Freud Center with Peter Fonagy\, Anthony Bateman\, and Carla Sharp. Dr. Eriksen will present MBT techniques in a way that enriches and extends students’ psychodynamic work. The class will address how MBT concepts – including the mentalizing stance\, the stop – rewind – explore technique\, and working with the therapeutic relationship – can be integrated into psychodynamic practice.

SUMMARY:Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Course: Working with Neurodivergent Clients: Technique Considerations for ADHD and ASD
DESCRIPTION:Instructor: Brady Bradshaw\, M.D. + Ashley Wells\, L.M.F.T \nThis class addresses the technical adjustments  required when working analytically with patients who have ADHD or Autism Spectrum Disorder. We will consider how neurodivergent  presentations may become apparent across different stages of treatment\, how symptoms shape the therapeutic relationship\, and where traditional analytic technique may need to accommodate or adapt. The class will draw on clinical case material to explore how analytic work with neurodivergent adults has unfolded over time\, with attention to the ways these patients may benefit from and engage differently with the therapeutic frame.
