Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Course: Ethics in Clinical Practice

This class address ethical dimensions of psychodynamic clinical work – not as a set of rules to follow but as a living, ongoing dimensions of practice. Topics will include the ethics of the therapeutic frame, confidentiality and its limits, managing dual relationships, and the ethical use of self-disclousre and countertransference. Students will be invited to bring clinical situations in which ethical questions have arisen, and to examine how ethical reasoning and clinical reasoning inform each other.
