Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Course: Psychodynamic Supervision
Instructors: Stefania Prendes-Alvarez, Ph.D., Daniel Sheridan, Ph.D., Gretchen Suarez, L.M.H.C.
This class provides a supervision experience for three students who will present and share clinical case material. Through discussion and guided supervision, participants will explore how to conceptualize patient material from multiple theoretical perspectives while examining the role of psychodynamic thinking in clinical practice. The course will also emphasize how psychodynamic theory is shaped by clinicians’ theoretical orientations and by the intersubjective relationship between patient and therapist.
