Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Course: Learning to Listen to the Language of the Unconscious

This course explores the many ways the unconscious communicates through symbols, metaphor, dreams, enactments, and the clinician’s own reverie. Drawing on clinical case material and psychodynamic theory, students will develop their capacity to recognize, decode, and translate unconscious communications as they emerge in the therapeutic relationship. Through discussion and reflection, participants will deepen their ability to listen for underlying meanings and apply these insights to their own clinical work.
